Bio

Katja van den Enden is a German-born artist living and working just North of Toronto, Canada. Her practice includes mixed media painting, drawing, collage and sculpture. Her work has been exhibited in public and private galleries since 2002. Among these galleries are Latcham Gallery, Quest Gallery, the Art Gallery of Mississauga, Gallery 1313, Orillia Museum of Art and History, the McKay Art Centre, John B. Aird Gallery.

Katja works at the intersection of materiality and consciousness. She explores themes of psychology, connectivity, fragility and  impermanence.

Katja is a two time finalist of the Quest Gallery TD Wealth Art Prize (2018/2019) and a multiple grant recipient of the Ontario Art Council.
